This sculpture museum is dedicated to Teijiro Nakahara, a sculptor associated with Asahikawa who made an indelible mark on the history of modern sculpture in Japan. The museum provides an overview of the history of modern and present-day sculpture in Japan as it mainly exhibits his 12 works and also includes works by Auguste Rodin, Moriye Ogihara, and other sculptors who influenced Nakahara; works by winners of the Teijiro Nakahara Award, which was founded by the City of Asahikawa in 1970; and works by sculptors associated with Asahikawa and Hokkaido. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum holds special exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and other sculpture-related events, while collecting materials about sculptures and sculptors. In this way, the museum is a perfect fit for Asahikawa, a city of sculpture.

Adults: ¥450 (individuals); ¥360 (per person for groups); ¥900 (annual pass)
High school students: ¥300 (individuals); ¥240 (per person for groups); ¥600 (annual pass)
Junior high school students or younger: Free
2. Joint ticket to the Asahikawa Museum of Sculpture in Honor of Teijiro Nakahara and the next-door Yasushi Inoue Memorial Hall
Adults: ¥600 (individuals); ¥1,200 (annual pass)
High school students: ¥350 (individuals); ¥700 (annual pass)
Junior high school students or younger: Free

– Joint tickets are a bargain if you also visit the next-door Yasushi Inoue Memorial Hall (except for Asahikawa citizens 70+, who are eligible for a discount).
– The annual pass is valid for one year from the date of first use.

– For regular tickets (excluding joint tickets and annual passes) any person who meets any of the following conditions is eligible for an admission fee reduction or exemption upon presentation of their ID.
1. Reduction (discounted nearly 50% to ¥220)
– Asahikawa citizens 70+
2. Exemption (i.e., admission free)
– Holders of a physical disability certificate, a medical rehabilitation handbook, or a mental disability certificate, and one accompanying person per holder
– Persons requiring long-term care as defined in paragraph 3, Article 7 of the Long-Term Care Insurance Act (excluding persons requiring not care but support and persons who have not yet been recognized as requiring long-term care) and one caregiver per person requiring long-term care
– Teachers and parents (or guardians) in charge of accompanying groups of nursery or kindergarten children or elementary school, junior high school, high school, college or other school students
– Other people in charge of accompanying groups of visitors
